Dentures & Partials

A smile just isn’t a smile if it’s incomplete. Missing teeth cause a host of problems, from difficulty speaking and eating to low self-confidence to jawbone deterioration. Don’t give up on your smile. Advances in dental materials and technology have made full and partial dentures more lifelike and comfortable than ever.

Partial Dentures
A partial denture consists of multiple teeth on a gum colored base with a metal framework. The teeth are not in a row, but rather spread across the base to fit like a puzzle with your existing teeth. A partial is normally secured with clips or brackets, but unlike a bridge, a partial is removable. Dr. Aull takes several appointments going through all the necessary clinical and laboratory steps gathering all the specifics about a patient’s oral structures and existing teeth to give the patient an excellent prosthesis.

Dentures
A full denture is a complete top or bottom row of teeth mounted on a gum-colored base. Dr. Aull’s patients are delighted with the natural, stable result that their new upper dentures give them. Lower dentures are generally difficult to build in adequate retention and they require denture adhesive to hold them in place. Dr. Aull promotes implant-supported lower dentures to hold it securely into place. It is truly amazing the security, strength, and retention patients feel when they choose and implant retained lower denture. The oral surgeon places dental implants into the lower jawbone. Dr. Aull then fabricates a lower denture that snaps into place. With implant-supported dentures, you won’t have to worry about slippage, and your prosthetic will feel safe and sound.
